    Joao Mario: 'Language an issue for De Boer, I could convince Ronaldo to join Inter'

    Inter star Joao Mario believes he can convince Cristiano Ronaldo to move to Inter Milan, were he to ever consider joining Serie A.
     
    In a lengthy interview, the 23-year-old also said that former Coach Frank De Boer struggled to communicate his ideas, but had some interesting thoughts on football.
     
    “It’s impossible to deny that we haven’t made a very good start to the campaign,” the Portuguese talent told Tuttosport, “But the past is the past, and now it’s time to think about what we need to correct and improve so that we can finish 2016 well, and try to book our place in the Champions League next year”
     
    ON INTER’S EARLY STRUGGLES - "I think they were normal, since we changed Coach just before the start of the campaign. It’s useless to keep focussing on the past”.

    ON FRANK DE BOER’S MISTAKES - “It’s hard to say, the Coach always pays when things go wrong. Now that we have an Italian Coach I realize that a problem for the previous manager was the language. De Boer had good ideas, but couldn’t communicate them like Pioli can”.  
     
    ON PIOLI’S INNOVATIONS - “The language would be a simple one, but it’s a secondary thing. Pioli knows the league better, I understand him better, things are improving game by game”.
     
    ON BEING THE SECOND-MOST EXPENSIVE INTER PLAYER EVER - “If Inter spent so much on me it means they believe in my capabilities. I try not to think of the price of my transfer [€45 million], and want to help the club obtain results.
     
    “I think I can improve a lot, I hope that, just like at Sporting, I get better after some early struggles”.
     
    ON CONVINCING RONALDO TO MOVE TO INTER! - “It’ll be difficult. Were he to leave one day and consider moving to Italy, I think I’d be able to convince him!”.
