Juve, a striker missing? There's Matri

Seven points for seven goals. The Juventus attack is the most equipped of the season, at least in quantitative terms. Antonio Conte can choose (in alphabetical order) between Amauri, Del Piero, Iaquinta, Matri, Quagliarella, Toni and Vucinic. Not to mention that in the past Pepe and Giaccherini have played as second striker.

The situation is different in the aspect of quality, or rather the amount of goals. To stand tall, a great team needs to rely on a real striker. Instead, at least for the moment, the Bianconeri have scored seven goals with seven different players: Lichtsteiner, Pepe, Vidal, Marchisio, Matri, Vucinic and Krasic.

The only striker who seems to be able to arrive to 20 league goals is Matri, called by the club to repeat last season when he produced 11 goals with Cagliari and 9 with the bianconeri. For different reasons, some for character and some for reasons of age, the other strikers are less successful: here is their record of goals in Serie A.
Top of Form

Amauri: 15 goals (Palermo 2007/2008).
Del Piero: 21 goals (Juventus 1997/1998 and 2007/2008).
Iaquinta: 14 goals (Udinese 2006/2007).
Quagliarella: 13 goals (Udinese Sampdoria 2006/2007 and 2008/2009).
Toni: 31 goals (Fiorentina 2005/2006).
Vucinic: 19 goals (Lecce 2004/2005).
