Lukaku wants to play in CL, drops Juventus hint

Romelu Lukaku has declared that he wants to play for an elite club... and Juventus are in the race, with directors Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici having a long-term interest in the 22-year-old and having spoken to agent Mino Raiola on a number of occasions about him.

So, while Italy fans will be praying that the former Chelsea reject won't score against Italy on June 13th, the Old Lady's transfer guru will be wondering whether to bring him to Serie A to give Calcio fans nightmares for years to come.

"I want to play for a club that is aiming to win the Champions League" Lukaku recently told French magazine So Foot.

PSG are one of the clubs in the race, and are looking to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Juventus have been following the Antwerp-born star for some time now, and he was even close to moving there in 2012-2013, something he revealed himself- "but Mino Raiola told me frankly that I had to be more consistent and aggressive on the pitch".

The 23-year-old ended the interview by relating a story: "I remember a game against Manchester United from three years ago, and I had a long chat with Paul Pogba. 'People will talk about us again one day' I told him'".

Three years on, he's being chased by Paul's club, and Everton value him at 80 million.

    Looks like he was right!
