Napoli consider January bid for West Ham striker Zaza

Napoli are considering placing a bid for West Ham striker Simone Zaza who is not impressing in his first Premier League season so far.

The former Juventus hit-man is still without a goal in nine appearances and his agent has recently told calciomercato.com that the Italian striker could consider leaving the Hammers in the incoming transfer window.
The Italian forward, however, has not received any official offer yet, but according to Il Mattino, Napoli are preparing an offer for the 25-year-old who netted eight goals in 24 appearances with Juventus last term.

West Ham are going to activate an automatic € 25 million option to buy once Zaza registers his 14th appearance with the Premier League side.

Napoli had already attempted to sign Zaza last summer, but failed to find agreement with Juventus. With Arkadiusz Milik out for the next few months with a knee injury and Manolo Gabbiadini struggling to fill the Polish striker’s boots playing as classic centre forward, the partenopei are now looking for a solid hit-man who can play as sole striker until Milik recovers.
