Real Madrid defender snubs PSG move

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is not willing to move to PSG or, at least, that’s what the French defender has told Le Figaro.

Varane, 23, is getting regular game time at the Santiago Bernabeu so far this season having already registered 14 appearances with one assist and two goals.

The Real Madrid centre-back is being heavily linked with moves to Manchester United or PSG, but has claimed that he is not interested in leaving Real Madrid.

“Why shouldn’t I retire here? Football moves and develops very quickly, but I want to stay here until the end of my career, at least for now.”

“I am not interested in moving to PSG, I am happy at Real Madrid.”

Varane is known to be a long time target of José Mourinho who coached the Frenchman at Real Madrid and the Special One is said to be willing to buy the Frenchman do add quality and depth to Manchester United’s defence, but the defender’s words are not going to encourage the Old Trafford hierarchy to make an offer for the 23-year-old star.
