Valencia boss Prandelli: ‘I met Suning’

Cesare Prandelli has revealed that he met Inter owners Suning before his appointment as Valencia boss. The Chinese representatives, however, did not propose Prandelli to become Inter’s manager, but wanted him to move to China to takeover at Jiangsu Suning instead.

“I met them once. There was a time that I was linked with becoming new Inter boss, but they only contacted me to takeover at Jiangsu, their football club in China”, new Valencia coach told Corriere della Sera.

“It was a very interesting meeting, they are lovely people but moving to China it’s a bit complicated.”
Prandelli was rumoured to be one of the potential successor of Frank De Boer, but the Italian tactician was hired by Valencia before Inter sack the Dutch manger at the beginning of November.

Prandelli has been in charge of Valencia for the last four games registering two losses, one draw and one defeat.
