Exclusive: Inter look for new CEO as Ausilio agrees terms on new deal

Inter are looking for a new CEO to replace Michael Bolingbroke who faced sack earlier this month.

Calciomercato.com has exclusively learned than Suning Vice-President Jun Liu won’t cover the role on a permanent basis, but is only going to be a temporary replacement for the former Manchester United executive.

The Serie A giants have also found agreement with Piero Ausilio for the contract extension of their director of sport. Ausilio’s current deal runs until 2017 and his new contract is set to expire in June 2019.

The two parties have reached a verbal agreement and the announcement of Ausilio’s contract extension is going to be released on the club’s official website soon.

Giovanni Gardini is also going to sign a new deal as he’ll be confirmed as the club’s GM, whilst Javier Zanetti will be tasked with more decisional jobs as Inter’s Vice-President.

Oddly, Erik Thohir’s future is the only one in doubt at Inter at the moment as the Indonesian businessman might step back as president at the beginning of 2017 amid Moratti return rumours.
