Juve, 30 players are too many!

With the official acquisition of Matri, Quagliarella, Pepe and Motta, Juventus have now a team of 30 players, too many for any big club, especially for them, who are only playing in two competitions, Serie A and Coppa Italia.

30 players are difficult to manage for a coach (they will gather on the 7th of July), and are a problem for a club that wants to buy on the market.

Therefore, budget apart (the board meeting tomorrow could be prepared to invest 100 million euro), Juventus priority is to sell. If the negotiations for Bastos, Lichtsteiner, Inler, Rolando, Aguero, and Vucinic  go well, the club would end up having  35-36 players.

Among the 30 players there are some presenting more problems in the market: those whose contract will expire in 2012 like Manninger, Grosso, Grygera, Tiago, Amauri, and Toni; those who were paid more than their actual value shown on the pitch like Melo and Martinez, whose contract will expire in 2014; those who had too many injuries last season like Sissoko and Iaquinta, whose contracts will expire in 2013.

The only player who could be easily sold is Storari (contract expiring in 2013), who gave a great performance last season.

These are the problems that Juventus must resolve before buying new good or 'top' players.

    The current team:

Three keepers (Buffon, Manninger, Storari); eight defenders (Ziegler, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, De Ceglie, Grosso, Grygera, Motta); eleven midfielders (Pazienza, Pirlo, Giovinco, Marrone, Tiago, Felipe Melo, Krasic, Marchisio, Martinez, Sissoko, Pepe) and eight attackers (Amauri, Immobile, Pasquato, Del Piero, Iaquinta, Toni, Matri, Quagliarella).
