Exclusive: Inter plotting a new assault on Oscar

Chelsea’s Brazilian midfielder Oscar was in the viewfinder of Inter last summer. Sporting Director Ausilio has now rekindled the nerazzurri’s interest but in a deal full of conditions, he will use the relationship between new owners Suning and the player’s agent, Kia Joorabchian to try to resurrect a possible move.

    BACK IN FASHION:
The 25-year-old Brazilian, whilst not being considered for January, is a primary target for next June. Oscar has become back in fashion for a number of reasons, the main one being the appointment of Stefano Pioli as the new coach, who sees the player as an ideal fit in his new-look Inter line-up. His attacking prowess and his versatility in the central areas are just what Pioli is looking for and with Oscar already having a frosty relationship with new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, coupled with the fact he’s only appeared for 28 minutes since October, could make this the ideal opportunity.

    CONTRACT:
Oscar has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2019 and this is where Joorabchian comes into play. Ausilio also knows the player well from the time he was at Internacional when he tried to bring him to Inter with Philippe Coutinho but without success. Chelsea may have won the battle first time around but now the nerazzurri are out for revenge.
