Roma consider return of Maicon to replace Florenzi
Florenzi is a very versatile player who can play as right-back, centre midfielder and attacking winger, but Spalletti has been deploying him mostly as right-back so far this season.
The giallorossi could decide not to wait until the beginning of the January window and sign a replacement of Florenzi picking a free agent.
Brazilian right-back Maicon is one of the names that the Serie A club are considering to replace Florenzi. Maicon left the club last summer, after the end of his contract, but is still training with the rest of the team in Trigoria.
Maicon, 35, has five goals and five assists in 69 games with AS Roma. The Brazilian right-back is a Serie A veteran having also registered 249 games, 20 goals and 50 assists with Inter.
