EXCLUSIVE Romano: Sabatini could remain at AS Roma

Recently, AS Roma Sporting Director Walter Sabatini has announced his decision to quit the Capital’s club. There are many options for the former midfielder: AC Milan -despite the complexity of the rossoneri’s executive board- and Bologna, as Pantaleo Corvino is intended to leave. Moreover, there is also a shocking option: the 60-year-old could in fact change his mind and stay in Rome.
It’s extremely difficult, but not impossible: despite many rumors, the first team’s boss Luciano Spalletti is happy to work with Sabatini, as confirmed by the signing of Stephan El Shaarawy; moreover, the club’s president James Pallotta wants to meet his Sporting Director, and the fact that he is not yet seeking for a substitute could be a sign.
On the other hand, if Sabatini will decide to leave anyway, Bologna seems to be his most probable destination, while an experience at Chelsea is not a credible option.
