Manolo Gabbiadini is probably the hottest commodity in Serie A in the January transfer window. The former Sampdoria star is frustrated with his playing time at the Stadio San Paolo.

Unlikely Rafa Benitez last term, Maurizio Sarri does not consider him a winger and for this reason he’s been only deployed as Gonzalo Higuain backup so far.

Gabbiadini netted four goals in just as much Europa League games, though he could only play 191 minutes in the current Serie A campaign.

According to calciomercato.com’s Serie A pundit Daniele Longo, the 24-year-old striker is chased by Premier League side West Ham as well as three Serie A sides.

Inter are interested in the player’s services since last summer, but Napoli are not eager to sell him to direct title contenders.

As previously reported, Napoli want to sign Fiorentina’s Vecino in January and they will ask the Tuscans the Uruguay International in exchange for their departing striker.

Fiorentina like the player, but they consider Vecino much more important than what Gabbiadini would be in case he’d join the Stadio Artemio Franchi side. A meeting between the two clubs, by the way, has been already scheduled for January.

Bologna are also interested as they’re looking for a backup of Mattia Destro.
