    FOCUS Milan's disappointing transfer window

With less than a month to the end of the transfer window, who exactly have AC Milan signed?

It's a quick summary, that's for sure: Leonel Vangioni and Gianluca Lapadula, both of whom are still being kept back by injury concerns.

AC Milan's recent US friendlies against Bayern Munich and Liverpool have done a lot to expose the squad's obvious limitations, despite the players doing their best to follow new Coach Vincenzo Montella's instructions.

So far, Montella has been patient, repeating his mantra that the club “knows where to buy”. Trouble is, the Rossoneri's current stalled sale to a Chinese consortium has frozen their transfer activity, and they've been unable to provide their new manager with the 4-5 reinforcements he's asked for.

Montella's post-Liverpool comments (“I'm working with what I have”) is not, however, to be seen as a criticism, more as a realistic assessment of his current situation. How long, however, until he loses patience? With the Rossoneri's Ultras demonstrating outside Silvio Berlusconi's Arcore residence recently and the club unsure as to its direction,

The contrast with Inter Coach Roberto Mancini is a stark one, the former Manchester City reportedly threatening to resign if he wasn't given the players he wanted. Say what you want about his methods, but Il Mancio has got what he wanted, with Inter now very close to Antonio Candreva.

How long until Montella decides to speak up too? The Rossoneri are less than a month away from showing up on Matchday 1 with a below-par squad. With no money to sign players, Mateo Musacchio and Jose Sosa aren't going anywhere, whilst Carlos Bacca is stuck in limbo. With few season tickets sold so far, the situation is getting increasingly toxic, and Milan's squad will get to witness it themselves when they return to Milanello.
