Nainggolan: ‘Roma deserved to win 3-0 against Empoli’

AS Roma were held to 0-0 draw by Empoli in an away Serie A clash yesterday night. Talking with Il Messaggero, the giallorossi midfielder Radja Nainggolan could not hide his disappointment for yesterday’s unexpected result.

“We created many chances; Skorupski was the man of the match. The only positive thing is that we did not concede any goal, though it’s strange for a team like us not to score even one.”

“Being two or four points behind Juventus makes little difference, there’s still a long way to go before the end of the season and if we had won we would have talked about nothing today. We have to learn from our mistakes.”

“We deserved to win 3-0, we played well and we created many chances.”

AS Roma sit 2nd in the Serie A table, four points behind leaders Juventus. The giallorossi have the best attack of the league with 26 goals scored so far this season.

The first direct meeting of the season between bianconeri and giallorossi is scheduled for the 17th of December.
