Forget Higuain, Milik is the new king of Napoli

Pubblicità

Nobody would expect this start to the season by Arkadiusz Milik who has scored more goals than Higuain at this stage of the campaign last season. Six goals in the opening five games, neither ElPipita nor Edinson Cavani had achieved as much in the first five games of the season.

And Napoli had also never been so prolific since the 1957/58 campaign when they netted 12 goals in the first four Serie A games.

The partenopei are now the table leaders, waiting for this evening’s key Serie A clash between Inter and Juventus. Milik replaced Gabbiadini after  dry performance by the Italian striker yesterday night and he only took six minutes to score his first goal. The Poland International took eleven more minutes to double Napoli’s lead: 6 goals in 305 minutes, one every 51.

Napoli’s 14 goals scored in all competitions so far have been scored with Milik on the pitch.  Forget Higuain, Napoli have found their new king.
