    Inter’s shortlist to replace Frank De Boer

    Here we are again. Inter have faced two defeats in one week, their 7th in the opening 14 games of the season. Frank De Boer’s future is uncertain again and, as we exclusively reported yesterday,  former President Massimo Moratti is pushing to hire Leonardo as interim boss until the end of the season before making an attempt for Simeone at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

    Should De Boer face sack, Leonardo is in pole position for the job. Vice-President Javier Zanetti believes that the Brazilian could be the right man to give the team an identity and a defined style.

    According to various reports this morning, the Serie A giants are also considering other names to replace the under-fire Dutch boss.

    Stefano Pioli and former Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin are also on Inter’s shortlist. The Italians could also be hired as interim managers, waiting for the end of the season and a possible appointment of Simeone. Despite his agent’s denials, former PSG boss Laurent Blanc is also on Inter’s radars, though the Frenchman would probably not accept an interim appointment.
