Sirigu: 'Juve? I don't want to be Buffon's backup'

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “For me, keeping the word is the most important thing. The club, after extending my contract, told me that they didn’t need other goalies. Then, they signed Trapp, and I thought that the competition was going to be a good thing, but when I came back from my vacations, I realized that they wanted to kick me out”.
“I was really upset, even thinking about what I gave in the previous years”, he added. “Better a return to Italy or an experience in the EPL? I have two more years on my contract, so it depends from the club. For sure, I don’t want to leave another season like this. Juve? Buffon is in great shape, and this makes me happy. I don’t want to be the second goalie in another club, I would rather stay at PSG, even if in football you never know”.
