Barcelona submit new contract offer to Luis Suarez
Barcelona’s number one has recently met Suarez’s agent Pere Guardiola, offering the Uruguayan striker a four-year contract extension with pay rise.
Suarez’s current deal expires in 2019 and Barcelona want to extend his stay at the club until 2021. The former Liverpool striker is on a € 11.6 million-a-year deal and is reportedly considering the offer of the blaugrana before informing the club about his final decision.
Barcelona chiefs remain optimist that Suarez will sign a new agreement with the club soon. The LaLiga giants could confirm Suarez’s contract extension by the end of the year or at the beginning of 2017.
Brazilian star Neymar has already announced his contract extension, whilst the other member of Barcelona trident Leonel Messi will enter new contract talks in two weeks time.
