Inter will meet Borussia Monchengladbach tonight in the first friendly game under new boss Franck De Boer. The nerazzurri are still looking for new recruits in the transfer market, but they also need to convince some of their stars not to leave the club.

Mauro Icardi has asked a contract extension and Marcelo Brozovic is another of those players who’s not happy about his current status at the club.

The Croatia International asked a new contract before Mauro Icardi and the player’s agent is going to meet Inter chiefs this week in order to discuss Brozovic’s future at the club.

Brozovic is on a € 1.2 million deal until 2019 and wants his contract to be in line with those of the other top midfielders of the team.

If an agreement over the player’s contract extension is not going to be reached soon, Brozovic will hand Inter a transfer request as both Arsenal and Juventus have already made contact with the 23-year-old midfielder having offered him a salary of € 3.5 million a year.

Marcelo Brozovic like Mauro Icardi: renewal or departure. The Croat is out of action with an injury and is not going to feature in tonight’s Borussia Monchengladbach clash.
