Inter want more quality in midfield, Medel set for summer exit

Inter Milan have been busy on the transfer market: with the Beneamata getting closer to Ever Banega, it seems that Roberto Mancini's quest for a more technical midfield is far from over.

Despite earning his manager's respect this season (not to mention the fans'!), Chilean international Gary Medel's time in Milan looks to be over. Whilst Felipe Melo refusing to leave Milan and Mancini searching for a ball-player to sit in front of the defence, it looks like Inter will need to buy someone... and show someone the door.

Unlike Melo, Medel actually has attracted market interest. The former Cardiff man was bought for €8 million from Cardiff in 2014, and transfermarkt currently estimates his value at €12m. Maybe a tad optimistic, but the Chilean could recoup a few million.
