Juve: confirmation from Spain of their interest in Asensio

Reports today fromOK Diario mirror those of a few days ago from Tuttosport that Juventus are stepping up their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio.

The 20-year-old Majorcan born youngster has been at the Santiago Bernabeu since 2014 but has spent the past two seasons on-loan at both hometown club Majorca and Espanyol. Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has been keen to stress that the bianconeri are looking to take some of the best young players from around world football as a signpost to the future in Turin and Asensio is one of the names that’s in the notebook.

After an exceptional season last year at Espanyol, Asensio has received a recent call-up to the full Spanish national team but was vocal about his lack of first-team action with the club from the capital after he scoring in the recent 5-1 win over Legia Warsaw in the Champions League.
