Mourinho challenges AC Milan in chase for two top class defenders
According to reports from England, Mourinho wants to add depth to Manchester United defence and has identified the Atletico Madrid and Santos stars as potential reinforcements to sign either in January or at the end of the season.
Godin, 30, has 14 appearances with Atletico Madrid this term and has a release clause of € 30 million. With Stefan Savic who is getting regular game time under Diego Simeone and Jose Gimenes who is imposing himself as one of the most promising defenders in the football panorama, Atletico might be open to sell the Uruguay International if the Red Devils meet the player’s release fee.
Rodrigo Caio has nota s much experience as Godin, but is a centre-back with a bright future ahead. The Brazilian defender is just 23 –year-old and won the golden medal with U-23 Brazil national team at the Olympic Games last summer. Caio has nineteen appearances with his club Santos this season and made senior Brazil national team debut in May 2016.
