Berardi return still uncertain claims Di Francesco

Sassuolo boss Eusebio Di Francesco released an interview with Sky Italia on Wednesday evening, on the eve of the Europa League clash against Radip Wien. The Italian tactician gave an update on Domenico Berardi’s return to action.

The promising Italian winger had a stunning start to the season with seven goals and one assist in the first six games of the season but is being sidelined since the beginning of September with a knee injury picked up during the neroverdi home Serie A clash against Pescara.

Magnanelli, Antei and Missiroli could return to action after the International break, but it is still impossible to predict when both Duncan and Berardi will be eligible again.”

Berardi is one of the most promising prospects of Italian football. AC Milan, Juventus and Inter are chasing the 22-year-old winger who has 42 goals and 23 assists in 90 Serie A games.

Juventus had a € 25 million option to buy last summer, but Berardi is said to have rejected a move to the J Stadium as he thought he would not have get enough game time with the Serie A title holders.
