Carlos Bacca set to return to AC Milan’s starting lineup

Vincenzo Montella has talked to Italian media ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Atalanta and the Italian tactician has suggested that Colombian striker Carlos Bacca could return to the rossoneri starting lineup against La Dea.

Bacca, 30, skipped the last two Serie A games with a muscle injury and Gianluca Lapadula convincingly replaced him in the last two league games against Crotone and Roma. Bacca is said to be a transfer target of both Sevilla and PSG but Montella has insisted that the player will not be leaving the San Siro outfit in January even if the club need to free up cash to sign new players in January.

The club’s takeover by Chinese consortium Sino-Europe has been postponed to the next 3rd of March and AC Milan are being left short of cash due to the delayed closing date.

Bacca, however, is set to start tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Atalanta and will be aiming to put an end to his six game goal draught.
