El Shaarawy: Italy have been molded in Conte's image
Stephan El Shaarawy shared his thoughts about Italy's upcoming Euro 2016 campaign.
A likely starter in tonight's friendly game against Finland in Verona, the former AC Milan striker spoke about the Azzurri's Group E rivals... and the team itself.
“Italy are a team molded in Conte's image,”he told Marca in an exclusive interview, "he's got a strong character and makes himself heard, as he proved during his three years at Juventus. His new adventure at Chelsea will be very positive. We'd already played Belgium in a friendly and we know what their strengths are”.
“Sweden have Ibrahimovic, who is a world-class player. Then we have Ireland, who don't have particularly well-known players, but I'm sure that they won't give upand will give their all to the very end”.
The Pharaoh had something to say about Italy's last major tournament, too.
"I can't wait to play, in 2014 I missed out on the World Cup because I was injured, I'm fine now, touch wood that nothing goes wrong, you never know".
"My favourites? Germany, but watch out for France, Belgium and England, too".
