Empoli-Juve: Marotta open to Alvaro Morata's Juventus return

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta released an interview with Premium Sport ahead of Empoli-Juventus on Sunday afternoon.

“It will be a tough game, Empoli have nothing to lose and their motivations are high. The result depends on our performance.”

Marotta was also asked about a possible midfield reinforcement which Juventus should sign in January.

Brozovic is a player of Inter and I don’t think that he’ll come to Juventus in January. Inter should keep him in their squad.”

Matuidi was one of our targets. We couldn’t get him, which doesn’t mean we are lacking of experience.”
Former Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has been linked with a shock return to the club, here’s the comment of Marotta on the future of the Spanish striker: “There is nothing concrete, but it is a suggestive possibility in footballing terms. We are on very good terms with him and he settled in very well in Turin. Many clubs want to sign him.”
