Juve star Dani Alves's Hep C donation REJECTED by Venezuela

It appears that Dani Alves’ generosity isn’t appreciated by everyone.

The Juventus full-back has recently added another claim to fame to his CV, namely the title of global ambassador in the fight against Hepatitis C.

The Mail on Sunday's Sophie Goodchild confirms that one of the two treatments, Sofosbuvir costs £35,000 for a 12-week course.

Having previously donated 300 treatments to patients in Bolivia, the Brazilian international was hoping to do the same in Venezuela… but found himself turned down because the Maduro government believes that it isn’t necessary.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.
