Antonio Conte has reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea on becoming their new manager, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The three-time Serie A champion is reported by the Pink broadsheet to have agreed to the idea of moving to Stamford Bridge... but there is no deal signed as of yet.

Reports of a visit to Cobham during the Autumn to see the Pensioners' setup with his own eyes have been confirmed, with Conte reputed to be a big fan of the Blues' youth system in particular.

With a possible return to club football being speculated for a while now, Conte was seen as one of the hot names to succeed Guus Hiddink on Chelsea's bench, alongside Max Allegri, Diego Simeone and the City-bound Pep Guardiola.
