REPORT: Inter's plan for Chelsea target Marko Grujic

    • M.G.
Inter Milan keep on seeking a new midfielder, and, as well known, are thinking about the possibility to obtain Andrea Pirlo on loan from New York City FC, as the MLS is over for the season and the 36-year-old doesn’t want to miss his chance to play the next European club with his national team.

Yesterday, the 2006 World Cup winner tweeted “Stop Rumours” on his profile, and, as reported by the Corriere dello Sport, the former Juventus player has decided to remain in the States. On the contrary, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pirlo is still undecided.

In any case, the nerazzurri are evaluating other options for their team’s midfield, like –as reported by the same media- Red Star Belgrade 19-year-old Marko Grujic. The young Serb is also a target for AS Roma and Chelsea, and –considering his non-EU-citizen status- won’t be able during the next transfer window, but thanks to his compatriot Dejan Stankovic, he could be signed in January and kept on “stand-by” until the end of the season.
