Roma, Spalletti dreams of Depay for January. Manolas won't join Juventus

Roma are coming off a big win last night versus Milan as they believe that they are a great team. The squad seems to be playing very well, even if they have had some injuries of late. The goal is to keep improving.

SPALLETTI DREAMS OF DEPAY - Spalletti's dream for January is called Memphis Depay (born in 1994 of Manchester United). Depay arrived in Manchester as a phenom but he has struggled and has been very inconsistant. Mourinho does not play him much as his future is in heavy doubt. One problem is the fact that United dished out 30 million euros plus bonuses to get him and this is why they want to get at least 23-24 million euros back for him. Roma would love to get him on a loan with an option to buy but the teams will have to negotiate the formula. With Salah who is going to play in the African cup of nations and with El Shaarawy not in great form, Depay could be very useful to Roma.

CONTRACT RENEWALS COMING UP - Roma will have to renew a few key players contracts soon as the coming weeks should be important. Strootman's renewal is inches away as he will sign a deal till 2021 (with added bonuses). Radja Nainggolan is another player that Roma want to renew as Chelsea have been all over him in the past few months. He rejected a 7 million euros per year salary from the blues last summer as he respected Roma's will to keep him. Roma want to renew his deal but they will have to offer him at least 5 million euros per year. Both sides are talking. The same can be said about Manolas too as Juventus tried to get him last summer and they still have interest in him. Roma would like to renew his deal and add a clause in his contract (only valid for non-Italian teams, to avoid another Pjanic case). Manolas wants 3 million euros per year where as Roma are offering 2.5 million euros at the moment. In all three cases, Roma are pretty confident to close the deals.
