Simeone calls Wanda: He wants Icardi but so do Spurs: the latest
Atletico Madrid have set their sights on Inter striker Mauro Icardi as an alternative to Gonzalo Higuain. Corriere dello Sport claims that coach Diego Simeone has even called the players wife Wanda Nara, to try to convince her husband to join il Colchoneros this summer. The journal reports that an engagement of €3.5 million net per season is on the table with €35 million heading into the Inter bank account.

But Atletico faces stiff competition from the Premier League with Spurs prepared to outbid the Spaniards with an offer to Inter of €45 million.
