Aubameyang: ‘AC Milan return would be a pleasure’

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a product of AC Milan academy, but never had a chance to play with the senior squad. He almost got one official appearance in the 2007/08 campaign when he was called for a Coppa Italian clash against Catania, but Carlo Ancelotti did not play him in that game.

Aubameyang moved on loan to Lille, Dijon and Monaco before completing a permanent transfer to St. Etienne in 2011 and Dorussia Dortmund two years later.

Today, he’s one of the best strikers in the world and is being linked with moves to Real Madrid and Manchester City.

The Gabon international, however, has whispered that a return to AC Milan would be an option he’d be happy to consider in the future.

“Leaving the club on loan every season was hard. I think they have some regrets now”, the 27-year-old striker told Onze Mondial.

“However, we are on very good terms. I met Galliani during the last Champions League final. He told me that I am always welcome at the club, I responded that it would be pleasure for me.”
