Crespo: ‘Now they call it Cholismo, once it was known as catenaccio’

Hernan Crespo played the 2005 Champions League final that AC Milan awkwardly lost against Liverpool. Talking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Parma and Inter man shred his thoughts on tonight’s opponents in the Champions League final.

“If I were Simeone I’d do what I always do when I face a stronger team: give them the ball possession and wait.”

“Now people call it ‘Cholismo’ once it was called ‘Catenaccio’ (door-bolt).”

“I prefer watching teams playing a more productive football, but my friend Cholo has been brilliant because he has created a perfect mechanism.”
