Gigi in charge at Juve

According to a report from Tuttosport, Gianluigi Buffon isn’t just the Bianconeri’s captain, but also a leader, and someone to whom everyone has to answer to.

The Turinese paper claims that the former Parma goalkeeper “got everyone in line” following Juventus' 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo on Wednesday.

It was Buffon who held the team accountable after Juventus’ poor performance in midweek against Sassuolo, and the Azzurri goalkeeper’s words after the derby win over Torino confirmed that he is more than ever at the top of the pyramid.

Tuttosport also detailed who else has an important role in Max Allegri’s team: Leonardo Bonucci’s more expansive personality has earned him everyone’s ear, whilst Patrice Evra is someone who is a morale booster and a great motivator.

Among the others, Andrea Barzagli’s quiet demeanour instils respect, Claudio Marchisio seems to encapsulate the Juventino spirit... and Stephan Lichtsteiner is known for being punctilious.
