Lapadula to start Crotone clash as Bacca trains apart from AC Milan squad

AC Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula is set to start Sunday’s Serie A game against Crotone as his teammate Carlos Bacca is still recovering from an injury and has been training apart from the rest of the team during the whole week, including today.
Lapadula has already proved to be more than a replacement for the highly rated Colombian striker as the former Pescara hit-man has managed three goals in just eight appearances so far this season, though Bacca remains the rossoneri leading scorer with six goals in 13 games.

Vincenzo Montella, however, prefers Lapadula to Bacca as the Italian striker helps the team more than what the Colombian does. The aeroplanino loves strikers who help the team building attacking actions without staying in the danger area waiting to get service like Bacca usually does.

Lapadula’s recent good shape has also caused many transfer rumours regarding Bacca as the former Sevilla star is being linked with a return to his old club or a move to PSG in the winter transfer window.
