He was also asked if he would be interested in replacing Antonio Conte as Azzurri head coach to which he replied; “You have to have a vocation in life, to even be linked to this job fills me with pride, its every child’s dream to represent your country and it will be my dream if it ever happens”. He ended however, by stating that; “I have a contract with Samp and this has been revised. I want to carry on working as it wouldn’t be good to leave the club in this way”.
