Palermo could become the Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain of Italian football if Maurizio Zamparini manages to involve an Arab group in the runnings of the club.

The Rosanero President brought Ahmed Al Zubeidi from the Ama Group to the Renzo Barbera and claimed the Arabs are willing to invest some 100/200M in the club.

Rather than City and PSG, Zamparini claims the project would be similar to the Arsenal one.

“The relationship and trust with Zamparini made has pick Palermo,” said Zubeidi.

“The English Premier League is competitive but Italian football has more tradition.”

“These investors are among the wealthiest in the world. We will no longer buy talented youngster but aim for establish footballers. With the Arabs in the club, Javier Pastore would have never left us,” added Zamparini.

On March 15, the Arabs investors should be officially unveiled.
