Where will Milan play Jeremy Menez?

Seven games unbeaten in all competitions, things are going well for the Red half of Milan. And they could be about to get a whole lot better: Jeremy Menez hasn't merely been training with the squad, he's even gone and scored the winner for the Primavera (youth) side. Coincidentally, this came after Milan beat Palermo at the Renzo Barbera... where he scored his last Serie A goal for Milan.

It's something, a first step towards a return to the First Team, though the former French international has yet to regain his best form, despite training with the rest of the squad for the last two weeks.

Yet that may not be the biggest question mark in the Rossoneri dressing room. Where, exactly, will the former Monaco star play? His superb string of performances last season under Filippo Inzaghi, as well as his unwillingness to track back, indicate that he'd be at home as a second striker behind Carlos Bacca.

Menez is proficient in one-on-ones and assists, and could be the right complement for Bacca. Only problem is, he's up against some pretty stiff competition: M'Baye Niang has been in brilliant form, and Super Mario Balotelli is also itching for a starting berth, though he's not in shape either. Oh, and did we mention Kevin-Prince Boateng and Luiz Adriano?

A less likely possibility is that Mihajlovic will try to use Menez on the left of a 4-4-2 to help Giacomo Bonaventura rest a little... though the Serbian coach's utopia would be to return to a 4-3-1-2 with Menez behind two strikers. One thing is certain: recovering Menez will be key in the Milan comeback which nobody believed in only a few weeks ago.
