BREAKING NEWS: Fiorentina and Sampdoria meet for Montella

    • M.G.
As reported yesterday, Sampdoria have announced the sacking of their first team’s head coach Walter Zenga –actually in Dubai with his family- and are now trying to find an agreement with Vincenzo Montella, who has been fired by Fiorentina at the end of the last season and is then still under contract.

To let the 41-year-old leave, the viola require his release clause to be paid, and for this reason the blucerchiati’s president Massimo Ferrero is negotiating with the Tuscan club.

As reported by calciomercato.com, today at 12 pm a meeting between Fiorentina’s chairman Mario Cognigni, Ferrero’s right hand Antonio Romei and Montella’s agent Alessandro Lucci. The gigliati could accept €3 million, while Doria are ready to offer a two-year deal to the coach but no money to them.

A new meeting is scheduled later this afternoon, while the Liguria’s team former coach Luigi Delneri told Sky Sport that he would accept to rejoin the “Luigi Ferraris” stadium.
