EXCLUSIVE Juve: The four players who could become Lichsteiner’s heir at the Stadium

Juventus will be looking to signing the Swiss Train’s heir next season. Giudeppe Marotta is planning ahead and would like to put under contract a young right-back who can be helped to settle in well by an experienced teammate playing in his same role.

A bit like what Patrice Evra has been doing with Alex Sandro this term.

CM.com’s Nicola Balice reports that the Old Lady has set sights on four full-backs playing on the right flank.

Sassuolo’s Sime Vrsaljko and AS Monaco’s Fabinho are long-term targets of the Bianconeri. Their price-tag is believed to be in the region of € 15 million each, but Liverpool have joined race to sign the Croatia International and it could become a little more complicated for the Old Lady to bring Vrsaljko to the Stadium next summer, while negotiations for Fabionho’s transfer have been put on hold.

As previously reported, Juventus have also eyed Olympique de Marseille’s Javier Manquillo. The former Liverpool man is blazing a trail at the Stade Veldrome this term and the Ligue 1 side can make his move permanent from Atletico Madrid for a fee of € 5 million next summer.

Juventus and Marseille are on good terms and that could help negotiations. Less than one year ago the likes of Paolo De Ceglie and Mauricio Isla joined the French side on a seasonal loan, while Mario Lemina travelled on the opposite direction.

Marseille would like to sign Isla on a permanent deal, they have asked Juve to lower the player’s € 9 million price-tag and Manquillo could be proposed into a player-plus-cash deal.

Another hot name on Giuseppe Marotta’s wish-list is  Valencia’s Joao Cancelo. Honestly, he’s the most difficult to sign, due to his € 25 million price-tag and the extreme competition of the best European clubs which are also tracking the 21-year-old defender.

Vrsaljko, Fabinho, Manquillo or Cancelo. One of them could be the next train running down the Old Lady’s right flank.
