EXCLUSIVE: Milan linked with Watford midfielder

No doubt that Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic can’t be considered as the only guilty one for the Rossoneri’s calamitous season.

Despite having spent over € 90 million during the last summer window, the club’s executive director Adriano Galliani has failed to bring to San Siro a player capable of bossing the midfield, a figure that the club is seriously lacking of since the departure of Andrea Pirlo back in 2011.

Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo has exclusively learned that the Diavoli are in hunt for Watford’s 27-year-old midfielder Etienne Capoue.

The deal was proposed by the player’s agent, but Watford have no intension of selling Capoue on loan and have slapped a € 15 million price-tag on him. The Frenchman’s contract with the Premier League side runs until 2019.

Of course, Milan’s financial difficulties do not allow Adriano Galliani to satisfy the Hornets’ requests and the player’s arrival at San Siro is highly unlikely at the moment considering also that the Frenchman has been linked with Arsenal move in January, according to rumors coming from England.

On the other hand, a player who’s on his way out of Vicarage Road is former Napoli man Valon Behrami who could make his Serie A comeback signing with Udinese.
Should the Switzerland International leave the Premier League side, Quique Sanchez Florez has asked to replace him with Fiorentina’s Mario Suarez.

The Spaniard has struggled to adapt to life in Serie A since he joined La Viola last summer and could rejoin his former Atletico Madrid manager.
