FOCUS: Juve eye the 'new Tielemans'

Juventus keep on tracking some young talents, and one of them is Avellino midfielder Samuel Bastien. The 19-year-old joined the neroverdi last summer on loan with right to buy from Anderlecht, and he’s doing very well in the Serie B, and both the bianconeri and Liverpool have sent their scouts to the Partenio to observe the youngster.

Born in Belgium, Bastien has spent his youth career in both Standard Liege and Anderlecht, and has made his first appearance in the Jupiler League for the Mauves et Blancs in 2014, when he replaced Youri Tielemans during the game against Mechelen. Bastien is considered the heir of Tielemans himself, and even in this case, the Serie A defending players will try to put their hands on the player and then loan him to a third party to let him grow up.

A typical number 8, “Sam” can play both as a playmaker and as an a wife midfielder, but, eventually, even as an attacker.
