    In Cristiano Ronaldo’s upcoming biography, which will be released on October 19th and which was also confirmed by Catalan journalist Guillem Balague, it was revealed that the Portuguese superstar was offered to Barcelona a year before his subsequent move to Madrid.
     
    In 2008, Ronaldo and then Madrid president Calderon had numerous discussions about his future. Sir Alex Ferguson wasn’t pleased and offered the player to Barcelona instead. Barca were interested but in the end, Ronaldo only wanted a move to Real Madrid. Ronaldo and Ferguson agreed that any move would be postponed to the following year, and that is when CR7 finally signed for los blancos.
