Milan on Bentancur: overnight offer to Boca but Juve have first refusal
According to Sky Sport, Rodrigo Bentancur is the player Milan want to put in their midfield. Overnight, the first contact was made between the rossoneri and Boca Juniors expressing their desire for the 19-year-old. Now a solution has to be found; the player is valued at €15 million and Milan still has to overcome the small hurdle of Juventus having the first option to take him; an agreement which was made as part of the Tevez deal last summer.
Juventus has until April 2017 to exercise their right to purchase the player outright and will be able to match any rival offers. Boca has immediately warned the bianconeri of Milan’s approach and the champions now have to decide whether to match the offer or force the rossoneri to up the stakes.
