Milan, there is optimism concerning Romagnoli: He might be ready for the derby

It seemed almost impossible a few days ago but it now seems like Romagnoli might recuperate in time. Alessio Romagnoli trained with the rest of the squad today and as Sky Sport are reporting, there is now optimism concerning his presence in tomorrow's derby game.

TOMORROW THEY WILL MAKE A DECISION- The ultimate decision will be made tomorrow after the pre-game training session. It seemed almost impossible but his presence is now much more likely. In the end, it will be Montella and his medical staff who will have the final say on the matter.

If Romagnoli doesn't start for Milan then it will likely be Gustavo Gomez who will partner Gabriel Paletta. Milan started off this season well as they are currently in third place of the Serie A standings. This will be Stefano Pioli's first game as the Inter coach as the nerazzurri are eight points back of their city rivals. The game will kick off tomorrow at 20:45 Italy time.

UPDATE - Romagnoli was in fact called up by coach Montella for tomorrow's derby. It will now be up to the coach to decide whether he will start or not.
