    PSG match Arsenal target’s €25m release clause

    PSG are set to match Ricardo Rodriguez’s € 25 million release clause to sign the Swiss left-back from Wolfsburg in January, RMC Sport reports. The 24-year-old defender is a long time target of Arsenal but the Gunners are set to miss out on one of their key transfer targets if the report coming from France is accurate.

    PSG are in desperate need to strengthen their squad as Unai Emery’s side sit third in the Ligue1 table and have qualified for the Champions League knockout stage finishing their group stage behind Arsenal. The Ligue1 giants have been drawn against Barcelona in the last 16 stage of Europe’s elite competition.

    Ricardo Rodriguez is not the only star on his way out of Wolfsburg this January as Julian Draxler is also set to leave the Bundesliga giants with Arsenal that are said to be in pole position to sign the Germany International next month.

    Inter and AC Milan are also said to be interested in signing Ricardo Rodriguez, but due to their poor financial situation they are not able to match the player's release clause.
