REPORT: Arsenal target Jorginho set to renew with Napoli

    • M.G.
As reported in the last days, Arsenal’s scout Tony Banfield was last week in Genoa to observe Napoli midfielder Jorginho. The Brazilian-born Italian midfielder could be called by the Italian National Team’s boss Antonio Conte for the next European Cup, and –as outlined by calciomercato.com- is also a target for some Spanish and German clubs.

Until now, nobody has made a concrete offer to the azzurri, but, in any case, they wouldn’t even consider them; last Summer, when he was still in co-ownership with Hellas Verona, Jorginho was uncertain about his future, but everything finally changed with the arrival of the new boss Maurizio Sarri: this latter has pushed his new club to acquire the entire ownership of the player, and has no intention to renounce to him, neither now nor in the future.

Moreover, the azzurri are ready to offer a new contract to Jorginho: president De Laurentiis knows that the requests for his player could increase during and after the European Cup, and wants to secure him as soon as possible.
