Roma, Spalletti to bench both Totti and Dzeko for Inter clash?

Luciano Spalletti has already decided most of players that will be starting next Sunday’s Serie A clash against Inter.

Arsenal loanee Szczesny is expected to start in goal after that Alisson played the whole 90 minutes in Europa League against Astra Giurgiu on Thursday night. Florenzi and Bruno Peres will be the two right-backs, Manolas and Fazio the centre-backs.

Daniele De Rossi, Kevin Strootman and Radja Nainggolan will play in midfield, but Spalletti has yet to choose the three men that will be playing up front.

With Francesco Totti who started and played the whole Europa League clash, it is very unlikely to see Spalletti picking Totti from the first minute also against Inter. If things will go the wrong way, however, the Italian tactician knows he can have full confidence on the 40-year-old striker who can came off the bench and change the team’s fortunes at any time.

What about Edin Dzeko? Despite some awkward mistakes the Bosnian still does in front of goal, the former Man City striker seems to have finally settled in well at the Olimpico. Dzeko did not play one single minute of the Astra clash, in turn he could be ready to start the incoming Serie A clash.

Spalletti, however, is still considering whether to use a ‘false nine’, with Diego Perotti and Stephan El Shaarawy starting up front alongside Mohammed Salah.
