Rumours: Atletico Madrid star Fernando Torres linked with China move
The Spaniard’s contract with Atletico Madrid expires at the end of the season and if he fails to find agreement over a new deal with the colchoneros, the 32-year-old striker could consider a move to China where Guanghzou Evergrande are said to be extremely interested in welcoming the player’s services.
Former Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez also switched the colchoneros with Guanghzou Evergrande less than one year ago when he completed a shock € 42 million move, six months after joining the LaLiga side from Porto. Former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho is also one of old ‘European’ stars playing for the Chinese giants.
Fernando Torres has two goals and as much assists in 12 official games in all competitions so far this season. The Spanish striker has also played for Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan.
