ANALYSIS: How much can Juventus spend in the summer transfer window?

The Old Lady has just completed another tremendous season in Italy winning all the domestic titles available (Supercup, Serie A and Coppa Italia) and the objective for the 2016-17 campaign will be to become a serious contender for the Champions League victory.

CM.com’s Nicola Balice highlights how much money Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici will have at their disposal to bring the Old Lady to the level of all the other top European clubs.

They spent around € 140 million last summer, cashing in € 60 from the sales of Vidal, Berardi and Kingsley Coman’s loan to Bayern Munich. This summer’s initial budget will be around € 50 million, but the sale of some players could radically change the money available to spend.

First of all Juventus had already planned to invest € 20 million to make Juan Cuadrado’s move from Chelsea permanent. With Antonio Conte claiming the Colombian winger back to the Stamford Bridge, those 20 million will be added to the € 50 million budget.

What else? Real Madrid will activate their € 30 million buy-back clause to sign Alvaro Morata, increasing Juventus budget to € 100 million. With Simone Zaza, Roberto Pereyra and Kwadwo Asamoah who have been linked with moves to the Premier League, Juventus could have € 130-150 million to invest on new recruits, though it is not to be taken from granted that all of them will leave the Stadium, whilst the future of both Morata and Cuadrado is very likely to be far from Turin.
